Top 10 Japanese Foods You Must Try

Top 10 Japanese Foods You Must Try

The Japanese food is another reason, that Tokyo is one of the best city of the world. I experienced that strange thing, that I didn’t find bad food there. Of course it’s not a problem, but how it can be?

Japan is famous of its focus on details, as well the on the quality. You go to one of the food court of a mall, and you have the best food of your life. I didn’t have this experience so far too many times…but finally here we go.

I already mentioned that there are tons of interesting or at first sight weird places to eat, but I encourage everyone to experience more and more places, you can’t go too wrong with that. Don’t forget the size doesn’t matter if we talk about Japanese eateries.

We ate Tokyo! Let’s see what were on the menu!

I know, there are times when you have no money at all to travel, or even for a long weekend somewhere. I was in this situations not even just once. The question is, what we can do in this situation? Walking with closed eyes on the street avoiding to see any of those tempting advertisement about spending the long weekend in Paris. Deleting all the friends on Facebook, who’s laying at the beach at the moment?

The answer: NO, not at all, do the opposite!

Whatever you want to reach, you need to pay attention to it. Start to train your conscious, that You gonna travel! Because first You need to believe in it!

I remember, a couple of years ago I said to someone that I will teach yoga one day in Thailand at the beach in a nice open bungalow. What was the reaction? Laugh…and of course, I got uncertain about what I just said. But it wasn’t a joke. Today, I can certainly say, with a small amount of organizing I know I could do it. And that feeling is the best one on the world. I know when we want to reach something, we start to work for it, believe in it, it needs to be a success. But I didn’t believe in this for so long!

Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai

We were already planning from the beginning to go to the north of Thailand. Of course we also heard from a lot of people, that it’s amazing, especially if someone likes nature. In the last years, i guess i became really sensitive to the nature around me. I see a nice flower, color, hill, mountain, river or any beautiful thing and it imbues my soul immediately, sometimes even too much, so it needs to leave through my eyes :).

I had the feeling, that they took out all the good things from Bangkok: big city atmosphere, lot of restaurants, coffee shops, public transport, culture; they surrounded with lot of green, national parks, mountains, and that’s how Chiang Mai was born.

We spent two weeks here, and i bet i don’t even need to say, in the end it was really hard to leave, also because it was the end of our amazing 5 weeks long supertrip in Thailand.

How to have fun in Chiang Mai?

Lot of national parks are located around the city as i mentioned before. You can go for a hike, or even use the zipline in the forest like a Tarzan. We actually didn’t try this one.

Californication

Californication

California, loveee, i’m singing this song since Mexico, maybe it’s also familiar for you!

After Mexico, the first destination was Los Angeles, where i met one of my really good friend finally, after months. The weather is not that caribbean anymore, in the evening you better wear a jacket, but during the day the average is 15-20°C, even more in LA. The airport transfer took me to the Walk of Fame, in Hollywood, where you can find all the stars with the famous actors, producers, etc. Here you don’t need too much time to get in to the Californian mood. On the streets lot of people wants to talk to you, smile on you, and on their face you can see the “i fuckin’ love my life” expression. So, be careful, because in the end you start to love your life too.

3 Months in Israel

3 Months in Israel

I wanted to write about my experiences, thought after spending almost three months in Israel, of course including the Jewish people too.

It’s very sad to see all this antisemitism spreading in the world, also in Hungary. I never liked to have an opinion about things I don’t know especially if I don’t have too much information about it. Like for example Jewish people. You can not have an opinion about a nation, a religion, a big group of people based on that you know 2 of them, you heard something from your family, you read 2 articles. If anyone feels to share his opinion, feel free, but please avoid any antisemitism!

For me, Israel is still a beautiful country with amazing landscapes, interesting people, awesome food. Of course, the weather is great also since I got to Hungary, it’s raining, cloudy, also cold, therefore I miss the warm weather, the beach. I cannot believe how you survived this windy, cold, rainy weather during this summer in Hungary. You have all my respect!

Couple of things I learned from the Israeli people

  • Be direct! No paltering, tell your opinion! If you got hurt, you’re grateful for something, you want something!
  • Enjoy life! Don’t take too seriously your life, don’t worry too much! If you can rest, rest for real!
  • Travel, see the world, get to know different cultures! Almost everyone I met, traveled somewhere in the world, I heard great stories, saw pictures, it was really inspiring. Ok, now you will tell me, it’s not for everyone and the ticket to Thailand is really expensive. Let’s dream, haha? I think, if you believe that you can do this kind of things, you can do it! Start to make efforts, and it will become real!
  • Do sport! In Tel Aviv, most of the people are doing something no matter they have the time or not. I know somebody who’s going to the gym sometimes at 11 pm after work. So, what’s your excuse?
  • Eat more vegetables! In Israel, most of the meal contains salad. They have many variations of it,  sometimes with fruits also. Experiment with the tastes!

Some weird sentences I got

  • – If I were not gay, I would marry you!
  • – Can I get your phone number? – No. – Then your e-mail address?
  • – Judit, You should go to Gaza for a couple of days!
  • – Where are you from? You have a weird accent. – I’m Hungarian. – Oh, I thought Scottish.

That’s it for now. If you’re curious, book a ticket to Israel, and go! In a case of the low budget, try Couchsurfing, I had just good experiences with it!

Thank you, Israel! I definitely come back!

From next week, I’m writing my posts from the USA. So, a new exciting adventure is coming! Have fun too!
